Aoibheann Greenan (Dublin, 1988) is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of visual art and experimental theatre. Her work has been exhibited extensively in solo and group shows in Ireland, Germany, France and Iceland. Venues include The KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin; Import Projects, Berlin; The Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin; The Lewis Glucksman Gallery, Cork; Eva International, Limerick; The Project Arts Centre, Dublin; Temple Bar Gallery, Dublin; The Lab, Dublin; The Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin; Châteaux de Servières, Marseilles, among others.The central theme operating within Greenan’s work is the social construction of culture, an idea which finds resonance through subjects such as heritage commodification, invented traditions, and countercultural practices.
