Ariel Guzik

Ariel Guzik is a musician, researcher, scientist, plastic artist, iridologist, herbalist and inventor. His work is driven by a nostalgia that seeks to recover the game and combine art with science and a great affection towards nature. The artist's technical bases are resonance, electromagnetism and natural harmonic intervals. Its production is an intersection between art and science. Ariel Guzik, combines his artistic preparation with more than 25 years of research in biology, mathematics, physics and music to develop machines or electromagnetic devices through which he captures the vibrations and resonances of his environment, and then reproduce them so that the human ear can listen to them; shortly: makes music of natural phenomena. His research has led him to work on communication with whales and dolphins, plants and urban environments. His search aims to rediscover the amazement of natural phenomena and simple things; In addition, it gives value to the exercise of contemplation and charm. Guzik's work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale (2015), ARCO'05 (Madrid), the National Arts Center (Mexico, 2004) and the Museum of Natural History (Mexico 2001-2002), at the Museum of Modern Art (2008), Museum of the City of Mexico (2009) and the esplanade Punto Cer0 (2009), among other spaces.
