Byron Gago was born in Ecuador in 1994 and moved to Sardinia in 2001.After the college in 2012 he moved in Milan where I continued my studies at the Nuova Accademia Belle Arti (NABA). Graduating in February 2017, he presented a thesis project in a editorial work form, dealing with the current condition in the territories of the Amazon forest in Ecuador following the oil dislocation. The work is composed by a photographic and a theoretical apparatus, which collects the results obtained following a direct observation in the field. In the following months, after his graduation, he had the opportunity to exhibit in the biennial young artists of Monza and at the Morel cultural space in Lugano with another collective show entitled EXI SHAPES. At Morel space, following a mutual acquaintance during the period of residence spent for the production of the work, he became part of the collective with which he still collaborates for the organization and the realization of the exhibitions, also using the space actively for the production and design of personal works. Stimulated by the environment and the dynamics of a non-profit space, he approached and compared hiself with the Swiss and international art and music scene. Currently he is studying at the Master of visual arts of Ecal at Lausanne working between Lausanne, Lugano and Milan.
