Catalina Antonio Granados was born in 1990 in Mexico. She is a first year MFA student at Columbia University with a concentration in sculpture and performance. Originally from Mexico City, she earned a BFA from the Steinhardt School of Education, Culture and Human Development at NYU in 2018. Granados is currently a TA in ceramics and a studios fellow. In her work, she explores the way in wich economic and political structuires in Mexico are embodied and create patterns of performance. Her rsearch has engaged with issues of violence, fera and childhood specifically in Mexico City. Her body of work translates into costumes, props, set design and performance excersises. Granados art has been exhibited in, The Wallach Gallery at Columbia University, 80WSE, Chinatown Soup, the NYU Broadway Windows, and the NYU Commons Gallery.
