Edgar Alejandro Hernández

Edgar Alejandro Hernández (Mexico City, 1977) is a journalist, researcher, curator and art critic. His books include "Limitless: Contemporary Art in Mexico City 2000-2010"t; (2013), and "Déjà Vu: Celda Contemporánea 2004/2007"t; (2014). He edited Cuauhtémoc Medina’s anthology "Abuso Mutuo: Ensayos e Intervenciones de arte postmexicano"; (2017). As curator, his exhibitions include "Guggenheim Museum Aguascalientes"; (2015), with artist Rolando López; "Miasma"; (2016), with artist Yoshua Okón; and "Aquatania. Part I"t; (2016), with artist Cristóbal Gracia. He co-produced Carlos Amorales’ film "El No-Me- Mires"; (2015). His art criticism appears in the newspapers El Universal, Reforma and Excelsior (Mexico); the German Press Agency (DPA); and magazines such as Código, Vice, Ramona (Argentina) and Forbes. He is currently chief editor of the cultural section of the newspaper Excélsior in Mexico City and directs the non profit organization Promotora Cultural Cubo Blanco (www.cuboblanco.org).
