I work as an art critic, writer, curator and as assistant of the Belgian artist Honoré d’O, whom I help to build up his exhibitions in Belgium and to realize his catalogues (writing and/or final editing and coordination). I have a degree in Law and started after my studies as a journalist for the Belgian newspapers to write about contemporary art in the time that Jan Hoet was the director of the Museum of Contemporary Art (today S.M.A.K.) in Ghent. In 2005 I was together with Bart De Baere (director of the MuHKA in Antwerp), Dieter Roestraete and Ilse Joliet one of the curators of the 51th Biennale of Venice. I coordinated several projects with Cera Foundation and different museums in Belgium (2006-2007 and 2009-2010). Since 2007 I started to write for several galleries in Belgium and the Belgian Art Magazine ART Magazine. Until today I wrote almost 1000 articles about exhibitions in Belgium and abroad. I also write texts for catalogues of several Belgian artists. Since I was very young I write poetry and in 2009 the Publishing House PoëzieCentrum in Ghent published my first poetry book Beeltenissen. In the meantime another three poetry books are published by PoëzieCentrum: Incantaties 1, Incantaties 2 and Venus’ Vonken. I regularly publish poems in several poetry magazines in Belgium and abroad. I often work together with artists to combine my poem and their art work in a real symbiosis. My poems are translated in French, Dutch, English, Korean, Roman and Nepalese.
