Julio García Murillo. Art Historian and Curator based in Mexico City. His work focuses on the displacement between artistic and curatorial research, as well as publishing and exhibition projects through the exploration of recent historiography, contemporary practices and critical museology. He holds a BA in Philosophy (ULSA) and a MA in Art History/Curatorial Studies (UNAM). He is currently the Coordinator of the Sala de Colecciones Universitarias, a curatorial lab at CCU Tlatelolco (UNAM), and professor at the ENPEG “La Esmeralda”. Some of his recent curatorial projects include: Notas para una educación (económico-)sentimental (Museo Universitario del Chopo, 2017-2018), El retorno del realismo. Siqueiros y la neovanguardia (Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros, 2017); as well as collective curatorial projects as: Melquiades Herrera. Reportaje plástico de un teorema cultural (MUAC, UNAM, 2018; with Los Yacuzis. Grupo de Estudios Sub-críticos).
