I was born in Tehran, Iran (1986), and am currently living in New Haven, USA. I study MFA in Painting and Printmaking in Yale University School of Art, and received my BFA in Painting from Tehran University of Science and Culture (2013). My work addresses placelessness and represents imaginary landscapes that are void of emotions, as though one is Hloating through them. I focus on natural subjects such as mountains and waterfalls that are extracted from the subconscious. It is as if I am attaching together pieces of my memories, and by doing so I am destroying their meaning, and thus creating a landscape that is immersed in placelessness. My current projects mainly focus on utilizing diverse material, including fabric, natural pigments. Aside from participating in several group shows, I had a solo show in 2017 at Datsan Galley in Tehran, Iran.
