Margarita Sánchez Urdaneta is a Colombian artist, writer, and lecturer. Sánchez Urdaneta has participated in several exhibitions at venues like The Kitchen, NY; The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, NY; Museo del Barrio, The Arlington Art Center, VA; The BID Headquarters Atrium, DC; Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Bogotá; Galería Gabriela Mistral, CL; Galería Die Ecke. CL, among others. Sánchez Urdaneta attended the Whitney Independent Study Program, NY; she holds an MFA from Parsons, The New School for Design, NY; a postgraduate degree in Journalism from the Universidad de Los Andes, Bogotá, and a BA in Visual Arts at the PUJ, Bogotá. Sánchez Urdaneta has given several artist talks, and academic lectures in renowned institutions and currently teaches at Parsons and Pratt Institute.
